Welcome to our Peer-to-Peer Learning office hour session on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)! This unique and interactive forum allows individuals to come together, share knowledge and experiences, and engage in cross-learning opportunities. It's important to acknowledge that while external pressure can be a catalyst, lasting change in DEI can only be achieved through genuine internal individual and collective transformation. During this office hour, you will hear from xxxx, the director of xxx as they navigated the task of implementing a DEI plan. Particularly they will share how they got started, what tools/support they tapped into, and element/strategies of their plan, and any lessons learned.

Kayla is the Human Trafficking Victim/Advocate & Project coordinator for The Central California Family Crisis Center Inc. She has been with the agency for over a year and is currently working on her Masters' degree in Child Psychology with an emphasis on Clinical Psychology at California State University of Bakersfield (CSUB). Her passion for equality, justice, equity, and inclusion has inspired her to promote social and cultural awareness throughout her community.
